Now that Monitor Audio has upgraded its Radius subwoofer, the company has decided to spruce up its partnering speakers with the announcement of the Radius R250.
The R250 has been cunningly designed to be used as a centre channel in a multi-channel music or movie system as well as a main, side or rear speaker. And as it's only a 95mm deep it can be placed vertically or horizontally alongside plasma displays without sticking out too far from the wall.
The speaker has the same specially designed MMP Mk2 bass-mid drivers and gold dome C-CAM tweeter as the Radius 225 but these are housed in a larger cabinet with a front-firing reflex port. As with the smaller R225, the R250 is supplied with a pressed steel 'easy fitting' wall bracket with both black and silver oval grilles.
The speaker is available in real wood veneer, satin and lacquer finishes (the same as the Radius 720 subwoofer) and is available to buy now at £225 each.
