Philips Pronto TSU9600 remote

Philips has just launched the top of the range Pronto colour touch-screen remote with pre-programmed control over Lutron lighting systems and more. Combining hard buttons and a large, easy to read display, the new TSU9600 will cost £899.

Philips Pronto RSX9400 Wi-Fi extender

Philips also announced a Wi-Fi extender, designed to stretch the capabilities of the Pronto remote, but could be equally at home in a PC setting. The Pronto RSX9400 Wi-Fi extender costs £250.

JVC's commitment to HD in the home is strong, not only in its impressive rear-projection D-ILA screens but right down to HD-ready recording equipment, like the domestic GZ-HD7, on sale for around £1,200.

MirrorMedia mirrored LCD screen
£1,800
MirrorMedia takes ordinary plasma or LCD sets and places them behind partially silvered mirrors. So, when the screen is off, it becomes a mirror. Prices start from £1,800 for a 20in LCD MirrorTV and rise to nearly £8,300 for a 55in model.
