KEF Muon loudspeakers
Price: £70,000
KEF's Muon project is a four-way, eight speaker curvy aluminium statement loudspeaker, co-dreamt up by super-cool product designer Ross Lovegrove. Each speaker takes a week to carve out of the solid alloy billet, each one weighs a healthy 250lb, stands six feet tall and a pair will set you back £70,000. Better hurry… only 100 pairs will ever be made.

Loewe Connect TV
Price: From £1,950
Loewe's Connect TV system is something truly ground-breaking in telly tech. Combining a Freeview decoder (PVR optional) and complete multimedia package, the 'Full HD' set - 32, 37 and 42in LCD panels - has Loewe-developed software to make viewing computer sources a doddle. Best of all, it doesn't matter whether those computer files are connected via Ethernet, USB or wireless. Prices start from £1,950.

Mark & Daniel loudspeakers
Price: From £649
Mark & Daniel Loudspeakers is a comparatively new name to UK hi-fi, distributed by Chapter Electronics. The new Maximus-Sapphire standmount speakers feature the DREAMS DM-4 Air Motion Transformer driver, which has a surface some 30x larger than a regular 25mm tweeter and works from 800Hz to 20kHz, as well as a 130mm bass driver with a huge 33mm long magnetic field. Prices start at £649.

Meridian 808 Signature Reference CD player

Meridian Audio has recently radically revised its flagship 808 Signature Reference CD player. The new model - excitingly called the 808.2 - comes in two flavours (either with or without built-in preamplifier), the heavily revised player features world-class buffering and clocking to make jitter a thing of the past, plus improved DSP to make the best sounding CD even better. It even has a new Ethernet connection to allow digital audio to pass to the latest Meridian loudspeakers.

Meridian DSP7200 loudspeaker

Meridian announced another breathed-on new product that also supports Ethernet connections - the new DSP7200. Combining elements of Meridian's flagship DSP8000 speaker but in DSP7000-sized speakers, the new model features four 100-watt amps, improved speakers, better than ever build quality and a price tag that gets you a little change from £18,000.
