Pure Evoke-2XT DAB radio

By AVR

Based on the excellent Evoke-2, Pure's new Evoke-2XT DAB radio boasts a few subtle, yet nonetheless handy, improvements including refined audio, redesigned drive units and filters, a line input, a kitchen countdown timer, a 'wake-up' alarm and improved battery performance (now 25 hours).

Another advantage of the new model is the option of using the ChargePAK C6 (sold separately) which will provide convenient DAB portability and over 15 hours of playback. Furthermore, one of the drawbacks of the original Evoke-2 has now been recified as the Evoke-2XT is now USB upgradeable, enabling you to update it with the latest software improvements. Sound quality is also said to have improved thanks to new custom designed drive units and active-filters. The radio also features twelve station presets, a headphone socket, stereo line-out and digital line-out for recording.

The Evoke-2 XT will be available from August for £150 and comes in Pure's tradional choice of maple or cherry veneer finishes. For more information visit www.puredigital.com
