If you thought three-chip projectors were the latest
thing in DLP projector technology - think again. Manufacturer projectiondesign has unveiled an HDTV projector capable of resolutions up to a razor-sharp 1080p - the highest resolution possible for HDTV.
The Action! model three 1080 features a 0.95in 1080p Texas Instruments DC3 chip and is claimed to have a highly impressive true contrast ratio of 7500:1. Furthermore, the projector features two lamps, two colour wheels and dual light formatters the new projector to help deliver a huge 2500 lumens light output.
We've been waiting a fair old while for a true high definition projector to arrive, so we're not going to argue with projectiondesign's claim that it's the world's first.
