Goldring introduces '2000' series phono cartidges

Product image of the Goldring 2100 phono cartidge

Goldring hopes to squeeze more audio juice from your vinyl with the announcement of a new range of high performance phono cartridges; the '2000 series'.

The 2000 series consists of five moving magnet models, all of which include Samarium Cobalt magnets for higher outputs and Permalloy armature tubes to reduce mass. Super Permalloy shielding is used to reduce noise and the same material is utilised to form the poleshoes for higher sensitivity. All connector pins are gold plated to eliminate corrosion and minimise contact resistance, whilst the cartridge bodies are threaded to allow easy and secure fitting.

The line-up starts with the entry-level '2100' and goes all the way up to the range topping '2500' model, which features a rigid metal body for improved bass definition and an ultra high quality '2 SD' diamond stylus, bonded to a tapered alloy plated cantilever.

The 2000 series is out now, with prices starting from £70 for the 2100 ranging up to £185 for the 2500.
