Cambridge Consultants Radiocube

As DAB has stolen more and more attention from traditional FM radios, internet radio has slowly been growing in popularity too. And it's only likely to increase with the launch of Cambridge Consultants' Radiocube.

The idea from Cambridge Consultants is that most of us only listen to four radio stations at most, as opposed to the thousands available online that can take forever to trawl through. So the Radiocube offers four presets that means you simply turn the radio on to any of four available sides and it will automatically flick to a pre-programmed station. No buttons, no searching, no hassle.

And before you email in about how poor my maths is, yes a cube does have six sides. The spare two have been reserved for a speaker (else it would be really, really quiet!) and an 'off' position - roll it over and off it turns. Heck, there isn't even a volume knob - it's just a case of swiveling to the right or left to turn the tunes up and down.

The Radiocube sports built-in Wi-Fi as you would expect, so all those thousands of radio stations are but a quick search away, with a simple flick of the cube taking you to your fave station first.

Not available yet and with no pricing info forthcoming, we have heard it won't be too expensive, and more excitingly that it will be on show at CES in only a few weeks time, where I'll be on hand to have a play and get you the lowdown first.
