Epson has announced a new addition to its projector range with the EMP-400W, a compact model that throws out a big image from an apparently very short distance.
Stats from the Epson camp claim this projector can show a clear and sharp image of up to 60 inches when sitting just 65cm from the projection screen (or in most cases, the wall).
It offers a native WXGA resolution at 1280x800 pixels with automatic 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios and a typically puny ten-watt speaker.
Targeting the business side of the projector market as opposed to the home cinema enthusiast, the EMP-400W features an Epson exclusive Twin Optimised Reflecting Lamp (E-TORL) and can be networked for easy integration.
Arriving this month, the Epson EMP-400W should retail for around £1,200.
