Danish DAB specialist Tangent has unveiled its fifth model, aptly named the cinque. That's 'five' in French for you solo linguists out there.
The Cinque is the first DAB radio in the Tangent range to incorporate a CD player, in this instance a front slot loader that's compatible with most computer music files including CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3 and WMA.
The solid chassis encases a single speaker, bass reflex construction in a range of four fresh colours. There's the de rigueur aux input for hooking up generic MP3 players, remote control, DAB and FM tuners, auto standby mode, snooze function and a tidy looking LCD display.
Specs are listed as 5W (RMS) output power with 80-20kHz frequency response and 3in bass reflex full range drive unit.
Price for the white, black and red gloss DAB units is £260 with the walnut coming in at a more appealing £240. There's also an FM-only version available in all colours with the white, black and red gloss costing £210 and the walnut £190. All are available now.
