'Speciality display innovator' Planar has unveiled two new Full HD projectors, delivered in retro futuristic styled lacquer black cabinets with metal flake accents. Very fancy.
Housed in low noise, low light pollution cabinets, both projectors are Full HD 1080p DLP machines with Dynamic Black and BrilliantColor image enhancement married to Gennum VPX video processing.
Contrast ratio is listed at 15,000:1 for the PD8150 and 10,000:1 for the PD8130 at 1,000 ANSI lumens.
Other user features include six position full HD PIP and PBP, automatic ceiling mode detection and horizontal and vertical lens shift (vertical only on the PD8130).
Both feature dual HDMI v1.3 inputs, RS232, dual component (one on PD8130), dual composite, RGB HD and two triggers that can be assigned to one of six different functions.
Available this March, the PD8130 retails at £3,400 and the PD8150 at £4,400.
