Rumours have appeared on specialist site 9to5Mac that Apple is planning on dropping the price of the iPhone and iPod range within the upcoming two months.
Figures are being touted as a $100 reduction for the Touch and iPhone lines, with the 8GB Touch being scrapped just as the 4GB iPhone was before it.
This would cut the 16GB iPhone and 32GB Touch prices to $399, which if applied in the UK market would make them both £269.
9to5Mac predicts the price drop will make way for a new pricing space to be occupied by the launch of the 3G iPhone later this year. So if you're not desperate, it could be worth waiting for confirmation before splashing out.
