Sennheiser has launched a new wireless headphone range with the new RS160, RS170 and RS180 on-ear models.
All three models employ Senny's KLEER technology delivering 2.37MB/s peak bit rate, which translates to CD quality sonics with no lossy compression or interference from the crowded 2.4GHz band.
Each also offers adaptive baffle damping, neodymium magnets, plug and play functionality and volume and function controls on the cans themselves.
The closed back RS160 model kicks off the range at £140 with 97mm transmitter diameter that can deliver audio to up to four people, adjustable headband and 20m range. It can run for 24 hours from a couple of AA batteries.
Next up is the £180 closed back RS170, which features switchable 3D Surround and Dynamic Bass, marking it as a TV and film friendly option. A multi-purpose transmitter acts as charging cradle and dock. Range on these is a much-improved 80m.
Topping the range is the £230 open back RS180 for 'audio purists'. Open back marks it as a home headphone designed for an open and natural experience best suited to hi-fi music and home cinema.
The earpads are velour, it comes with an 'easy charge' cradle and dock, multi-receiver transmission for up to four users, auto volume level and balance control and a huge range of 100m.
All come bundled with a multi-country charger, detachable RCA cable with 3.5 and 6.3mm adaptors and two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries.
