Denon has announced the last devices for its 2010 stereo range with the PMA-1510AE stereo amp and DCD-1510AE CD/SACD player.
The DCD-1510AE includes several features derived from Denon's flagship DCD-2010AE player, including an improved Suppressed Vibration Hybrid (SVH) drive mechanism to reduce vibration and a new type of master clock to minimise jitter, as well as Denon's proprietary Advanced AL32 processing and 32-bit/192kHz conversion.
It will play two-channel SACDs, as well as CDs and MP3/WMA files from CD-R/RW discs.It also has a front-mounted USB port for playing back audio tracks from USB memory sticks, iPods, iPhones and other MP3 players.
The PMA-1510AE amp can pump out 70 watts of power for each channel, and uses Denon's Ultra High Current MOS Single Push-Pull Circuit topology. It also has a high-current power supply to improve its dynamic ability and both transformers are held in leakage-cancelling mounts. The chassis has also been redesigned to lower the centre of gravity so as to help improve grounding.
There's a 'power amp direct' mode which makes it easier to integrate the amp with an AC system and like the player it has some green credentials with low standby energy consumption and automatic shutdown when it's not in use.
Both the Denon PMA-1510AE and DCD-1510AE will be available later this month for £900 each.
