Greenapple has been producing glass furniture for a while now, but it's just announced a move into AV territory with two new stands dubbed the Niche and the Cliff.
The Niche (pictured) features a 'floating' shelf design which consists of a rectangular toughened glass structure with built-in shelf unit designed to comfortably fit in a DVD player, AV receiver or digital set-top box and should fit any TV up to 50in. The slightly smaller Cliff looks similar except that the shelf unit is fitted at the top. It's designed for TVs up to 42in in size.
Both glass stands are available with a range of styles for the shelf unit in piano black, real wood veneer in wenge, walnut or oak.
David Applebaum, Greenapple's founder and MD said: "The AV market now demands more lifestyle TV furniture with higher average selling prices and resulting cash margins, so future-proof designs such as Niche and Cliff will meet this demand head on."
Both models should be available in June, the Cliff for £599 and the Niche for £649.
