TCI Super Constrictor Rhodium mains cable

Apparently, our mains supply here in the UK is quite 'dirty' with dimmers and digital devices all adding unwanted noise and subsequently discolouring the sound of hi-fi and AV equipment. TCI's new SCR (Super Constrictor Rhodium) mains cable has been designed to help filter this out. Sonic improvements are said to include more detail, bigger sound stage, better dynamics and a deeper and fuller bass. Because of the quieter noise floor, low level detail is also claimed to be improved.

The SCR uses 16 cores of silver plated PTFE insulated copper and one 2.5mm PVC insulated copper earth wire, and is capable of carrying more than 60 amps at 500 volts RMS. The complete cable is constructed of flame-retardant materials meaning the SCR could be suitable if you're thinking of a permanent installation.

The SCR is available now at the following prices: 1 metre - £200, 1.5 metres - £250, 2.5 metres - £300.
