Marantz ST-15S1 DAB/FM tuner

Product image of the Marantz ST-15S1 DAB/FM tuner

Marantz has announced details of a stunning new high-end DAB/FM receiver, the ST-15S1.

Built with Marantz's acclaimed acoustically damped all-metal 15 series chassis, the ST-15S1 incorporates both an FM tuner with a whopping 200 presets plus a DAB receiver with a neat Gyro Touch dial and large display for showing station, artist and track names. Audio performance is served up by a 24-bit/192kHz multi-bit, sigma-delta DAC from manufacturer Analog Devices.

Marantz has gone to great lengths to ensure sound quality is top notch. There's a display dimmer for eliminating any potential interference and even the blue backlighting operates on its own independent power supply to ensure no electrical noise. Finally, a proprietary filter circuit is designed to remove interference that often plagues analogue broadcasts.

Round the back you'll find both optical and coaxial digital outputs, plus an RDI (Radio Data Interface) optical digital output for future updates.

Out now, the Marantz ST-15S1 DAB/FM tuner retails for £700.
