While this is definitely not for the average AV aficionado, the Electrosonic MS9500GL could be very handy for loaded folks who need to network a HD signal to multiple displays around their (probably massive) home.
The MS9500GL has the ability to transmit HD video (1920x1080i or 1280x720p) and standard def pictures (576/480p) across your home's ethernet connection. You can switch between SD and HD content through its simple LCD front panel interface.
The built in time scheduler gives you the ability to control how long content plays, what to play next and even how long to repeat it.
From the press release Electrosonic says the MS9500GL is "reasonably" priced, but unfortunately neglected to say exactly how much this will be. We'll fill you in if we get more details.
