Boston Acoustics has added a new in-ceiling speaker to the company's VRi Hidden Theatre family of reference in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, the VRi595.
The VRi595 crams a full three-way speaker into a conventional two-way size, with slender six inch depth. Usefully the VRi595 features entire baffle rotating so you can direct the sound towards where you're sitting.
The VRi595 speaker features a 20cm cast DCD (Deep Channel
Design) copolymer woofer, a cast 9cm neodymium midrange driver, and a
25mm aluminium dome tweeter using Boston's Amplitude Modification
Device (AMD), a tuning device to smooth high frequency response for a more natural sound.
The VRi595 is out now, priced £600.
