HDMI may hog the hi-def headlines but there is of course another way to hook up your HD kit; good old component.
IXOS's latest, the XEN XHV904, is a bit special in that it can carry a 1080p signal - a rarity for component. The XHV904 features three separate high-bandwidth connectors with silver-plated PC-OFC conductors and four separate layers of OFC braid and Al-Mylar wrap shielding. Solid metal barrel RCA connectors are fitted to each interconnect to further improve shielding.
Available now, the IXOS XEN XHV904 costs £100 for one metre.
