Creative Zen Stone Plus

Zen Stone Plus

Mere months after it bestowed the Zen Stone on the world in yet another bid to deal Apple's iPod family some kind of body blow, Creative has delivered the Zen Stone Plus.

The 2GB Plus is available in a range of funky colours and boasts some upgrades over its sibling. Namely, a funky blue OLED screen displaying function and track information, an FM radio, a clock with stopwatch, and a voice recorder that lets you sing over the top of a track in a drunk Karaoke style. Weird yes, but kinda cool.

You can load around 1,000 songs before you hit the two Gig capacity via a simple drag and drop interface that works with any operating system, and then organise songs via artist and playlist and play back in shuffle or standard modes. Alongside the Stone Plus, Creative has launched a swathe of accessories to capitalise on early sales, including armband, skin covers and TravelSound portable speaker. The Plus is available now for £50.

When you buy an MP3 player you aren't looking for a stopwatch! Also, this thing is ugly. The wheel and the display look terrible. The color code is totally off beat

They should just get out of the MP3 business. I'll gladly pay more for a an ipod shuffle and opt for no display and stopwatch.
