Is anyone else noticing a theme here? After LG's Chocolate Phones came the Chocolate Laptop and then the Chocolate TV, and soon we'll be gorging ourselves on yet more sweet stuff with the Chocolate Home Cinema System, aka the J10HD. Is Willy Wonka running their factories or something?
The latest piece of LG confectionary is actually a combined home cinema system with DVD player, 80GB hard disk drive and 2.1 virtual surround sound system. As the name would suggest, it adopts the same styling as its chocolatey counterparts, with a glossy-black finish and slick white touch sensitive controls that should appeal to the interior designer in each of us.
The 2.1 system may put some off but LG assures us its 'Virtual Surround Matrix' credentials are up to scratch and will be backed up by speakers offering 75W per channel and a sub outputting 150W - a total 300W wall of sound. The 80GB hard drive doesn't allow for any Sky+ pause TV type action, but you can rip CDs and record radio, play your generic MP3 via USB and the DVD player supports most formats including DivX with the bonus inclusion of an HDMI port.
That's all the info for now with price to be confirmed and a release date of July touted. But judging from sales figures for LG's existing Chocolate range, that's all the info we need - the J10HD will fly off the shelves.
