DigiMedia 4-port HDMI 1.3 Switcher

Digimedia

Not all AV kit has to be sexy to be essential, as the DigiMedia Switcher ably demonstrates. Lucky for us then that it's designed to be used out of sight, behind your ceiling-high wall of high-definition AV gadgetry.

One of the most annoying considerations when splashing out on HD products is the connectivity, with HDMI being the first choice for the best results. Yet most TVs still include only one or two HDMI ports, meaning you'll be constantly plugging and unplugging your PS3, HD-DVD player, Sky+ HD box and Apple TV depending on what you watch.

The DigiMedia Switcher is a remote controlled four-port HDMI switcher compatible with HDMI 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 so you can wring every last drop of HD video and audio from all of your next-gen toys without the need to delve behind the TV. At £50 it seems a small price to pay for never having to get up from the sofa ever again.
