HANNspree XV range

HANNspree XV range
Budget-busting TVs always provoke suspicion and the odd raised eyebrow at AVReview Towers. And such is the case with Taiwanese giant HANNspree's latest series of 'fashion' LCD TVs, the XV range.

Available in 32in and 37in versions, HANNspree has kept the costs down by keeping things analogue so there's no Freeview tuner built in and obviously no HD, though two HDMI inputs do make them compatible with HD peripherals. Instead they're targeted at consumers who already have a compatible Freeview or satellite provider (or PVR or Media Centre for that matter) and so don't want to spend more than they have to. Other stats are respectable enough though - an 8ms response time, 176 degrees viewing angle and a classy design that will hopefully be matched in build quality.

The real draw has to be the price though - the 32-incher comes in at £359 and the 37-incher at £499, each with a pick-up, repair and return two-year warranty.

Has anybody heard or seen anything about the 32inch version of this TV?

I'm thinking of buying one, but wondered what everybody thought about them?
