For people with REALLY big lounges and professional or multi-room installations, Techlink's Wires CR HDMI 'Extended Range' (why the apostrophes we wonder?) offers HDMI cables in 20m, 30m and a whopping world-first 50m lengths. Just imagine trying to untangle one of them.
Pure HDMI to HDMI, Techlink makes these lengths possible by using high-bandwidth V1.3 compatible construction combined with a Techlink Passive Repeater, a little gadget that sits at the display end of the cable.
Hooked up to the Passive Repeater, Techlink's 20m and 30m cables support Full HD 1080p bandwidth, while the 50m length is guaranteed to 1080i/720p. Interestingly, Techlink says it can achieve 1080p, but with the right 'source equipment'.
The entire range uses high-quality oxygen free copper conductors and low migration foam polyethylene insulation, with heavy gauge construction and shielding and gold plated connectors.
Out now, 20m will set you back £199, 30m £269 and 50m £359. But don't forget to add the £59 Techlink Passive Repeater to the bill.
