Everybody's favourite high-end and utterly superb speaker manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins has launched an iPod dock and speaker across the pond that looks like it's going to live up to the company's hard-earned rep.
Just look at it - the curvaceous and utterly nonconformist design makes it look like you're checking out a hottie that you know you shouldn't.
Two foot wide and weighing in at a we-think-very-reasonable-but-still-ruddy-expensive $600 (even if that's just to look at it), it outputs an ear-bleeding 100 watts of amplification via three channels and packs a five-inch subwoofer, glass fibre cones and the same tweeters you'll find in B&W's high-end full size speakers. Crikey. It also boasts connectivity for video and photo playback from your 'Pod to your telly.
Now all we need is to get our hands on one and see if its performance matches up to its aesthetics. We're preparing our Led Zep back catalogue as we speak and keeping things crossed for a UK launch.
