Alba MP32GD11SIL & MP34GD11BLK MP3 players

Alba MP32GD11SIL & MP34GD11BLK MP3 players

Budget behemoth Alba has launched a couple of new MP3 players with names so mind-numbingly dull we're refusing to mention them again. Instead they will be identified by their respective 2GB and 4GB capacities.

Tidily designed with a squat, almost bulbous shape they're surprisingly good looking in black and silver. That design is also functional because each incorporates an SD/MMC memory card slot for hot-swapping playlists and music as well as bumping memory capacity. There's a decent looking blue backlit LCD display, and both are compatible with MP3 and WMA files for around ten hours play time from a single AAA battery.

Easily pocketable at just 34g, the 2GB retails for £23 and the 4GB for £40, making each a great second player for less iPod-friendly activities.
