Although many a consumer still considers it voodoo, the mains electricity that supplies life to our myriad AV kit is, effectively, 'dirty', carrying with it lots of electronic noise that's worsened by the likes of dimmers and digital devices around the home, all of which can adversely affect hi-fi performance. Which is why TCI is launching the Baby Constrictor Power Block.
A mains performance upgrade device, the TCI Baby claims to improve sound and picture quality by 'cleaning the mains'.
Consisting of a TCI Baby Constrictor mains cable and German-made Brennustuhl four-way 13a UK mains distribution block, it features eight PTFE insulated silver-plated copper conductors with braided construction for RF rejection and filtering and a non-inductive, self-screening design.
Externally it features Nylon66 Braid for abrasion resistance and Polyolefin outer insulation.
Capable of 40a at 500v RMS, the TCI Baby Constrictor is available with 1m cable for £80, 1.5m for £100, 2m for £120, 2.5m for £140 and 3m for £160.
