Denon has expanded its upper-end in-ear headphone range with the launch of the AH-C551 'Metal Pod', targeted as a more affordable version of its £140 AH-C750 model.
Designed and worked on by the same bods who tinker with Denon's £5,000+ CD players, the C551s are built from ultra-rigid machined aluminium with specially insulated in-ear design with 11mm diaphragm drive units to achieve safe listening levels in noisy environments as opposed to just turning things up really loud.
Other audio-improving features include Denon's Acoustic Optimiser that balances sound pressure before and behind the diaphragm for greater dynamics and fast response, to deliver a better rendition of complex music, gold-plated 3.5mm stereo mini jack and Pure-OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) cabling.
Available in silver and black with small, medium and large ear adapters for £70, the Denon AH-C551 in-ear phones are available now.
