Following on from the very successful SR7001, Marantz has unleashed the SR7002 AV power amp on the world, and it is a true audiophile and videophile beast.
The SR7002 brings four HDMI 1.3a inputs and two outputs to the table making it perfect for a fully functioning hi-def system where the user employs both HDTV and HD Ready projector.
Fully formatted towards HD images and audio, the SR7002 supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio decoding for 100 per cent lossless coding supporting up to eight full-range channels of 24-bit/96kHz audio.
Visually that HDMI 1.3a means 1080p playback and Deep Color 36-bit video for totally uncompressed signal transmission.
Other features include multi-zone playback (complete with a dedicated second remote control), superb connectivity, a huge 1kW of power on tap and the kind of build quality seldom seen outside of a tank factory.
