Looking not dissimilar to your common or average audiophile music centre, Advance Acoustic's EZY-7 has a few tricks up its sleeve.
Behind that industrial and functional design lurks a music amplifier of 2x 50 watts under four ohms with four line-level inputs and a single set of speaker terminals.
There's also an AM/FM tuner with RDS and 30 preset channel options, but, according to Advance Acoustic it is the development of the iPod that makes the EZY-7 most interesting. “Advance Acoustic for a long time wished to propose a source able to store a true discotheque (several thousand titles) while keeping the facility of use, the high level of musical performance and flexibility. The arrival of the iPod was the solution of this dream.”
The EZY-7 features a fairly unconventional looking iPod dock that can be controlled using the included remote, a system all modern iPod docks should, in our not-so-humble opinion, incorporate as standard.
The EZY-7 is priced at $800, or around £400 and is available now across the pond.
