After a not inconsiderable wait, French speaker specialist Waterfall Audio has finally unveiled some new speakers in the transparently eye-catching form of the almost all glass EVOs.
These EVO models are upgrades to the existing two-way 34in Iguasçu and three-way 40in Victoria speakers.
The new models are claimed to have increased power handling, low distortion and 'remarkable' low frequency extension courtesy of new aluminium tweeter, midrange and bass drive units provided my driver manufacturer Atohm.
As well as being functional however, the location of the main workings in the plinth hints heavily that these are targeting the kind of audiophile keen to use their new speakers as a talking as well as listening point. They are, put simply, stunning.
Available across the Pond from March, the Iguasçu EVO will retail at $3,900 (around £1,950) a pair and the Victoria EVO at $5,400 (around £2,700) a pair. And as they're manufactured by the French, we'd expect to see them arrive in Blighty and the rest of Europe not long after.
