New in line from Sony comes the BRAVIA DAV-IS10, the Japanese giant's latest consumer-friendly home-cinema-in-a-bunch-of-boxes set-up.
The IS10 is a 5.1-channel home theatre consisting of five speakers each about the size of a golf ball. Seriously.
The main unit incorporates single disc CD/DVD player receiver and there's a much meatier subwoofer that bumps the sound output up to respectable levels.
Replete with HDMI port, the IS10 upscales to 720p/1080i, features BRAVIA Theatre Sync when matched to a compatible Sony telly and is Bluetooth equipped so it can connect wirelessly with any other Bluetooth-friendly computer, laptop, MP3 player or phone etc to play your music with “room-filling clarity and power”, but of course, no wires.
Typically stylish, the system is dressed in glossy black and sports funky touch-sensitive controls that illuminate and disappear on touch. Very pimp.
Available now, the Sony BRAVIA DAV-IS10 retails online with a little searching for around the £400 mark.
