Projectors are a dime a dozen nowadays, with the high-end high-price association long since extinguished thanks to a swathe of sub-£1,000 releases from some of the biggest players in the AV industry.
But when Marantz unveils a new machine, you know the price (even though it's as yet undisclosed) is likely to be high, as will no doubt be the case with the 1080p DLP VP-11S2 projector.
The first projector on the market to feature Texas Instruments' CarkChip4 chipset, its stats may leave you a little cold - 800 ANSI lumens brightness and middling 12,000:1 contrast ratio - but we're fairly sure Marantz won't be releasing a turkey.
Hell, the colour wheel apparently spins in near silence at an unbelievable 10,800 RPM. Now that's fast.
More news concerning pricing as we get it.
