Humax has released a new software upgrade for its PVR-9200T digital TV recorder.
The upgrades will be automatically installed via over-the-air downloads between 14-21 January as long as the recorders are in standby mode overnight.
The new software will ensure all 9200T users can benefit from a host of new features in accordance with the Freeview Playback recording standards.
These include:
- Series Recording - viewers can programme the 9200T to automatically record every episode of a series at the touch of a button (think Sky+'s Series Link)
- Split Recording - viewers can link and record two-part programmes, such as when ITV very annoyingly splits a film with a news bulletin. Tssk.
Alternate Instance Recording - alerts viewers if a clash in their recording schedule occurs and suggests an alternative time if either programme is repeated.
This download only applies to PVR-9200Ts shipped before November 2007, as newer models already contain the software.
