Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM & 2693HM

Samsung has chosen Macworld 2008 to launch two new models in its SyncMaster range in the shape of the 24in 2493HM and 25.5in 2693HM. Both LCD monitors are designed for 'consumers and commercial users seeking enhanced entertainment and multimedia capabilities'.

Specs wise, each offers Full HD 1080p 1920x1080 pixel resolution with HDMI connectivity, 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time. Speakers are built in, and the stand is a quad-directional marvel with height, swivel, tilt and pivot adjustments.

The 2493HM retails at $600 and the 2693HM at $700 Stateside with UK release dates to be confirmed.

I have the Samsung 204bw (20 inch, not WS). I am looking to upgrade and this seems to be really good. As I am an FPS freak, has anyone tried it out with games? they don't speak much about the gaming performance though...
