Music player superstore Advanced MP3 Players has unveiled its latest addition in the shape of Cowon's iAudio Q5, which, if it were a supercar, would apparently be the Bugatti Veyron.
What we think they're getting at here is that the Q5 is 'technologically advanced, super powerful, exclusive and reassuringly expensive'.
More akin to an ultra-mobile PC than PMP, the Q5 runs a mobile version of Windows (WinCE 5.0 Professional) as its operating system offering access to the likes of MSN chat, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word alongside its music, video and photo playback. It also sports built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM tuner, text viewer and USB 2.0 and TV out connectivity.
Music playback support includes MP3, WMA, ASF, OGG, WAV, FLAC, APE and MPC codecs, while video support is listed as AVI, ASF, WMV, MOG, OGM, DivX, XviD, MPEG4 and WMV 7/8/9 codecs.
Images and video are displayed on the five-inch 16.7-million colour TFT LCD WVGA (800x480) screen and are complemented in the sonic department by a raft of sound-enhancing technologies.
Available now in two guises, the 40GB Q5 retails at £400 and the 60GB at £440. And both come with 'class leading' battery life of 13 hours for audio and seven hours for video.
