InFocus has unveiled the Play Big IN83, its latest Full HD 1080p DLP home theatre projector that it claims offers 'class beating performance out of the box'.
The IN83's sleek low-profile chassis conceals a wealth of technology behind it. Armed with the latest DLP DarkChip4 technology with Texas Instruments' BrilliantColor, it delivers Full HD 1080p with a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1 that's boosted to 15,000:1 using the iris.
A video optimised brightness of 1,600 max ANSI lumens is enough to deliver film-standard D65k colour accuracy in screens up to 4.3m wide, even (InFocus promises) with the ambient light of daytime viewing.
Other features include integrated Pixelworks DNX 10-bit video processing technology, auto colour gamut and black level calibration and digital vertical lens shift. Custom tuning can also be achieved for the more particular amongst us.
Dual HDMI 1.3 ports with DeepColor support ensure future proofing, while connectivity for HD media players, HD satellite and set top boxes, DVD players, computers, consoles and the like is also taken care of. A 2m HDMI cable and M1-to-HDMI adapter are included in the box.
The Play Big IN83 arrives on sale this March for £3,500.
