LG has reinforced its style credentials as the sponsor of London Fashion Week with the launch of two new hero TV line-ups in the shape of the LG6000 LCD range and PG6000 plasma range.
The LG6000 LCD range offers 32in, 37in, 42in and 47in models. All are 1080/24p HD ready with 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, intelligent sensor for automatic brightness and colour optimisation, LG SimpLink connectivity, Clear Voice technology and on the 42 and 47in models TruMotion 100Hz technology.
Connectivity is taken care of by four HDMI v1.3 ports with DeepColor and USB 2.0 jack for playing back JPEG and MP3 files.
Design-wise, the LG6000 range sports a slim silhouette, unique red back and round LED light aperture that delivers a 'soft red pulsating glow'.
The PG6000 plasma range meanwhile comes in 42in and 50in models with 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 100,000-hour panel, Dual XD Engine, THX Display Certification and Clear Voice technology. It incorporates a slim, frameless aesthetic designed to simulate a 'pane of glass' look. Connectivity is handled by four HDMI v.3 ports and USB 2.0 jack for JPEG and MP3 playback.
Both the LCD and plasma ranges feature a new invisible speaker system, specially tuned by Mark Levinson with speaker actuators around the perimeter of the bezel that eliminate the need for traditional speaker drivers and associated grilles.
Price and availability on the ranges is still to be confirmed, but expect to see them very soon.
