Intempo has released the Rebel, a music sampling system the company describes as 'revolutionary'.
Tuned into an FM radio station, the Rebel will record up to 40 of the most played music tracks, automatically cutting out the DJ chat and adverts and saving only the optimum recording of any repeated songs. Users can then download the songs to their MP3 player or mobile phone free of charge.
It's the first product to use PopCatcher technology, which automatically records music over a 24-hour period, saving tracks as MP3 files.
A line-in jack opens up DAB or internet radio alongside FM, and downloading to your MP3 player is done direct with USB port or SD card.
Arriving in 'seductive red' or hi-gloss black, the Rebel goes on sale from March for £70.
