Another addition to the growing range of IXOS gadgetry, the Argo is a standard iPod speaker dock with the added bonus of an incorporated FM radio.
Battery or mains powered, the Argo isn't exactly the sleekest looking dock on the market (that honour has to go to B&W's Zeppelin dock), but it packs plenty of punch with a 12watt power rating, four drive units and that FM radio with digital tuner.
Supplied with interchangeable dock cartridges for compatibility with most models, owners of the third gen Nano will need to request an extra cartridge, which you can get free via the IXOS website (why it isn't supplied as standard is a bit of a mystery).
There's also the de rigueur 3.5mm aux input for hooking up non-Apple flavoured devices alongside 3.5mm-3.5mm and USB connection cables.
The IXOS XMI218 Argo retails for £50.
