News reports have surfaced online and in print that the Beeb is likely to sign a deal with the bods at Apple to distribute content through the iTunes store.
Seemingly far removed from the negative press iPlayer had received concerning its PC-bias, sources report that BBC Worldwide's digital media director Simon Danker has contacted third party partners to let them know of new distribution plans for the channel.
Though there has been no official line taken from either the BBC or Apple, the Beeb has already indicated there would be future tie-ups with Apple and the iPlayer service, with likelihood that the service will soon be available via Apple TV.
More news as we get it.
