Though launched in America last year, Panasonic has only now been able to release the DMP-BD30 this side of the pond.
The world's first Final Standard Profile BD spinner, it adds a new element of interactivity to compatible Blu-ray discs using Profile 1 Version 1.1, sometimes known as Bonus View. Features such as Picture-In-Picture viewing with Audio Mixing so you can toggle between the soundtrack of the main and sub screens.
It's a Full HD 1920x1080 model that delivers Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio, 24p and Panny's Pixel Precision Progressive Processing. HDMI v1.3 is in attendance with support for DeepColor and upscaling of standard DVD to 1080p.
On sale soon, the DMP-BD30 comes with free copies of Cars and Ratatouille on Blu-ray disc for £349.
