Buffalo Technology LinkTheater HD LT-H90LAN

Buffalo Link Theatre

Buffalo Technology has released a new HD media streamer at this year's CEBIT show in Hanover aimed at delivering HD content around the home. The LinkTheater HD (LT-H90LAN) only offers a wired connection however, but can stream media files from a swathe of sources such as a hard drive or DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) as well as networked PC, USB drive or direct from a digital camera/video camera. Format support is extensive to say the least with MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264 (MPEG4 AVC), WMV9, XviD, AVI, HDV, AVCHD video formats, AAC-LC, AAC-HE, WMA, MP3, Dolby Digital (AC-3), WAV, AC3, MP2 audio formats and JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF image formats all catered to. Connectivity is taken care of via a single HDMI, Ethernet port, SCART, optical audio and analogue audio and video for the lowest picture and sound quality. Buffalo's LinkTheater HD is on sale now for £91.

Where did you get the info that the buffalo tech lt-h90lan supports xvid and divx? This is not in the press release nor on any other websites.

If it does not support xvid and divx they have really limited the potential sales of this unit. I currently have their media player with the dvd drive an like it in a wired network, however having 500+ xvid videos, I would not upgrade.
