NAD L53 DVD/CD stereo receiver

Lenbrook UK has added the NAD L53 DVD/CD Receiver to its audio-visual range. Lenbrook claims the L53 offers an exceptionally big sound, both for music and movies, despite its relatively small size.

The two-channel combi amplifier, FM/AM tuner and CD/DVD player utilises high current power supplies, discrete transistor output stages, and carefully selected components to promise vanishing low levels of distortion and crisp power delivery. A subwoofer output with level control meanwhile offers full compatibility with any of the many excellent powered subwoofers currently available.

The L53 also provides state-of-the-art video performance, with the latest generation DVD-Video decoder featuring Progressive Scan output to digital TV displays via Component Video connections (standard S-Video and Composite Video connections are also included).

Since the L53 is a two-channel (stereo) receiver, set-up is simplicity itself - just plug in stereo speakers and TV monitor. There's also a L53's learning remote with illuminated keys which can be used to replace TV and satellite remotes and can be programmed to activate an entire system with just two keystrokes.

The L53 also features SRS TrueSurround technology to provide an enveloping surround sound sensation from only two speakers - a useful compromise in rooms where it's not practical to install the necessary speakers for true surround sound.
