SanDisk has officially unveiled its latest combatant in the MP3 player market after a veritable flurry of speculation has spun around the internet.
The Sansa Fuze will arrive Stateside in early April in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB flavours with an array of colour schemes including silver, black, pink, red and blue. Sansa has incorporated a MicroSD slot to beef up capacity should the need arise.
Alongside music playback the Fuze will feature video, photo and audiobook compatibility, and Sansa has seen fit to bundle in an FM radio and voice recorder for good measure too.
The Fuze is compatible with download services like Napster, eMusic and Rhapsody To Go and will play MP3, WAV, protected and unprotected WMA, MPEG-4 video, Audible (for audiobooks) and JPEG pics via the 1.9in screen.
Battery life is touted as 24 hours for music dropping to five for video before a charge is needed.
Retailing at $80 across the pond, we can expect to see the Fuze land on our green and pleasant shores sometime this spring for an as yet undisclosed sum.
