B&W Zeppelin iPod dock

Although the Zeppelin iPod speaker dock from Bowers & Wilkins has been floating around the peripheries of our vision for a while, we bring you news of it again as it has finally been launched in the UK.

Fresh from a successful showing at the Sound and Vision show in Bristol, the Zeppelin borrows top-end speaker tech from B&W's award-winning speaker range with a claimed 40 years of technowizardry stuffed into the peculiar shaped chassis.

The first iPod dock in B&W's range, it supports both video and audio and houses a spring-mounted dock that eschews the need for separate adaptors to dock different flavours of iPod. Direct iPod control is offered via the remote control.

We've heard the Zeppelin in action several times now and can testify it's one of the best sounding dedicated docks out there, which, along with that jaw-dropping design, may go some way to justifying the exorbitant £400 price tag.

Glad to know about this one, I've been eyeing up the bose ones- which sound pretty good from an in-shop hearing. I'm sure this sounds wonderful but i can't justify spending that much unfortunately.
