British inventor Trevor Bayliss, creator of the wind-up radio has been at it again. The Cranking MP3 player has a 1GB capacity and plays MP3 and WMA files at 32k-250kbps with USB port for downloading your tunes and to act as a secondary charger should your arm not be working properly.
But the main charge - and the USP of this rather clunky looking gadget - should be made by winding up the arm on the back, with one minute of cranking delivering around ten minutes of playback time.
So it's not the most svelte or stylish player and it doesn't have the biggest capacity, but it is eco friendly and, bizarrely, sports a flashlight function. Bonus.
On sale now, it retails at around €55 or £45.
