The waterproof MP3 player market seems strangely untapped with literally just two or three pretty rubbish players the sole offerings for a nation obsessed with exercise and surrounded by water.
Enter then the ludicrous sounding Ubanana uCan, a waterproof MP3 player and headphone combo rolled into one tidy unit that wraps around the back of the neck and sports an iPod Shuffle-styled control pad. We're guessing here that the curved appearance gave birth to the banana reference in the name, which is tenuous.
The first and smallest fully integrated MP3 player and headphones, it's waterproof to a depth of three metres and handily floats should it pop off during a particularly virile spot of butterfly action.
It carries a 1GB memory and supports MP3 and WMA codecs with a 15-hour playback from the battery. That's a lot of swimming.
On sale this July but available to pre-order now, the Ubanana uCan retails at €99, which we're not even going to convert into pounds as it'll probably have changed by tomorrow.
