HANNSG is selling a new widescreen monitor with the HG281DJ. A 1080p playing 28incher, it carries an HDCP enabled HDMI port and delivers 1920x1200-pixel WUXGA resolution.
It delivers a contrast ratio of 800:1, a 3ms grey-to-grey response time and 300cd/m² brightness rating with 160-degree viewing angle and anti-glare screen surface.
The manufacturer rather grandiosely claims that, despite the dumbed down resolution and middling stats, the HG281DJ delivers a 'spectacularly rich colour palette and crisp, sharp images without lag for the ultimate HD experience'.
Available now for £400, the HANNSG can be VESA wall mounted or placed on its stand and swivelled, tilted and generally cajoled to your heart's content, but considering the prices for some Sony and Philips Full HD TVs currently available, it seems a little pricey to us.
