QDOS has unveiled the Sound Frame - an iPod speaker system with a twist. Literally.
The QDOS is described rather self-gratifyingly as a 'unique, portable, lightweight and elegant speaker dock' that was designed specifically for the iPod Touch but can team up with most manner of Pod including the iPhone, thanks to its universal adaptor.
As is the norm with such devices, it charges the Pod as it plays and can run from mains power or via the internal rechargeable battery.
Less than normal however is the revolutionary rotating dock set-up that takes advantage of the Touch's auto-rotating screen so you can sit it vertically if you just want to listen to music through the speakers, or flip it into landscape mode to watch widescreen videos and films and the like while still benefiting from the dual 1.5Watt sonics.
The Sound Frame weighs in at 224grams and is due over here in July, with an exact release date and price to be confirmed soon.
